She received her BFA in Studio Art from Florida State University and MFA from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. She recently joined the Department of Art at the University of Maryland - College Park as Assistant Professor of Print & Extended Media. An interdisciplinary artist, Gatlin takes a speculative approach pursuing ways to deconstruct and destroy a White Supremacist Capitalist Patriarchy that has rendered her and many others invisible.
